Waco is the only drawing in this catalog with a suspension bridge in it. The cables are drawn as two slack curves running between piers, and they take up more width than any building does.
What is in the drawing
A low building opens the left under an onion-domed cupola, with a round arch cut through its base. The bridge follows: two piers standing on the ground line with the cable slung between them in a shallow sag, and the deck drawn as a straight line running underneath from one side to the other. Past it two tall slabs rise, the higher one notched at the crown, and a stepped block stands beside them. A small pointed spire follows, then a long low stadium with a mast on it, a tower with a rounded crown, and a plain slab closes the right.
Mug or canvas
Long thin lines with air around them are what a suspension bridge is made of, and they read cleanly whatever the size, so this makes a good mug. The line is light, and a mug takes it all the way round. For canvas, 24 by 16 gives the cable and the deck clear daylight between them.
