What is in the drawing
A slender tower under a wide flat cap opens the left, standing clear of a slab that is ribbed from top to bottom with vertical bands. Taller slabs climb from there toward the middle, one slotted deeply, one squared off plain. At the centre a low hall carries a pointed spire above a row of short columns, and a small gabled building with an arched opening sits at its shoulder. A cylinder ringed near its top follows, then two plain blocks, and the right closes on a broad tower whose crown steps back twice.
Who buys it
Port work and the aquarium split this one. It goes to people who work the harbour and to families who spent a summer there, and the flat-capped tower on the left is the shape both groups name first.
Mug or canvas
Coverage is 0.078, and at 2.372 to 1 it runs past the mug band so a mug takes it right around. Dense and wrapping is the combination that argues hardest for a large canvas: at 11oz the middle third turns into a solid grey band and the columns under the spire vanish completely.
