Hoboken is the only drawing in this catalog built around a railway terminal, and the arches under it run for a third of the width. The towers behind are drawn plainly so that the arcade keeps the attention.

What is in the drawing

A slim slab opens the left beside a block finished with a gabled crown, and a taller notched slab stands behind them. Then the terminal: a long low front carried on five round arches drawn as a continuous run of curves, with a deep flat roof above and a clock tower rising off it under a spire that steps in twice on the way up. Past that the line climbs a slab with a slanted top, crosses a flat block and a small pitched roof, passes a tower with an ogee cap, and closes the right on the tallest slab of all, notched down one side.

Who buys it

Hoboken sells to people who lived there in their twenties, which makes it a nostalgia piece bought years after the fact rather than a souvenir bought during. The terminal is the reason: it is the building everybody passed through daily and nobody photographs.

Mug or canvas

2.085 to 1 leaves this a shade under the 2.14 line, so a mug sits it in the middle with ceramic showing either side and both ends visible together. Ink is 0.061. Five large evenly spaced arches are the sort of repeated shape that usually clogs at small sizes, and these survive because they are big, so the mug is a fair choice here. On canvas, anything from 24 by 16.
