Beaumont opens on a bridge whose stays are drawn as straight rays rather than as a curve, and the two tall buildings immediately after it are finished with rounded crowns instead of flat ones.
What is in the drawing
Two slim pylons stand at the far left with the stays running down from them in straight lines to a low deck. Two tall slabs rise beside the bridge, each rounded across the top. A building under a pointed dome stands at the centre, plain towers follow, and a low group with small onion caps above a scalloped front closes the right.
Who buys it
The buyers are refinery and port families, and a good number of them are buying from somewhere they moved to for work. It sells all year and does better as a mug than as a canvas.
