Porto hands its centre to a bridge, which is unusual in this catalog and is the right call for the city. The buildings on both banks are drawn low so the span has room.
What is in the drawing
A small domed church and squared blocks open the left. A tall thin tower rises beside them and ends in a needle. Then the bridge takes over, a deck ruled straight across with a wide arch swung underneath and verticals dropped between the two. Riverfront blocks run low past it, a gabled church front lifts, two onion domes stand close together, and a long slatted building closes the right.
Who buys it
Port lodges and river trips bring most people here, and they come home with that bridge in every photograph. It reads as one specific place rather than a generic old town, which is what makes it work for somebody who has been.
