Height is the whole subject here. Dubai is the narrowest shape in this batch and the tower runs nearly the full height of it, which is exactly what the city is usually photographed for.
What is in the drawing
The sail of the Burj Al Arab opens on the left, curved and leaning, with a low swept roof beside it at ground level. A stepped tower and a domed cap follow. The Burj Khalifa then rises through the centre in a series of setbacks, each one drawn as a narrower shaft than the last, finishing in a spire. An oval tower and a flat slab stand past it, and a walled fort with small domes and an arch closes the right.
Who buys it
Layovers and expatriate contracts supply most of this. A lot of buyers lived there for two or three years and left, and the fort at the end is the half of the city they had to go looking for.
Mug or canvas
1.683 is well inside the band, so the mug centres it and uses the full print height, which is what the tower needs. Coverage 0.118 is light. The setbacks near the top are the finest strokes in the drawing and they hold at 11oz. Any canvas size works.
