Aurora is the flattest drawing in this batch. Almost all of it sits close to the base line, and the one tall thing waits until the very end, so the picture reads as a long horizontal band rather than as a skyline.
What is in the drawing
Four small domed pavilions open the far left, drawn in a row at the same height with even gaps between them. Pitched roofs follow, then a block whose crown rises into two peaks. The center is a long hall carried on three round arches with a flat roof above it. Past that a low block, a small tower and a hall under a shallow curved roof run along the base, and a long low slab carries the line out to a tall twin-peaked tower that closes the right.
Who buys it
Aurora sells to people who live there and are tired of being treated as a suburb of somewhere else, so the pitch is that this skyline is its own. It works as a housewarming piece, and the row of domes is what makes it recognisable rather than any single tall building.
Mug or canvas
