Ho Chi Minh City opens on a pagoda drawn as a stack of wavy tiers and closes on a cathedral with two straight spires, with long low colonial blocks running between them.
What is in the drawing
The pagoda stands alone at the far left, its tiers stacked and each edge drawn as a soft wave. Long low buildings follow, flat-roofed and banded across their fronts. The cathedral rises at the centre, two spires above a row of arched openings. A pavilion with a tiered pointed roof sits past it over a colonnade. Low blocks with scalloped fronts run right, and a spired tower closes the line.
Who buys it
The buyers are Vietnamese families in California, Texas and Australia, and people who went back to see where a parent grew up. It sells steadily rather than seasonally.
