Cologne draws its Romanesque church as two full storeys of round-arched galleries stacked one above the other, which no other building in this range does, and puts the cathedral spike beside it.
What is in the drawing
A low crenellated wall with arches opens the left. The Romanesque front rises next, a pointed roof above two tiers of round arches running its whole width. Two towers with pointed caps follow either side of a gabled hall. The cathedral spike stands past them, narrow and drawn as open tracery. A long low building closes the right, small spires along its roof above arched openings.
Who buys it
