Fargo is mostly low, and the one curve in it is doing a lot of work. A building in the middle distance is drawn with a roof that dips and lifts across its whole width, and nothing else in the picture is anything but straight.

What is in the drawing

A low pitched roof opens the left with a slim spired tower behind it. A tower with a split crown and a plain slab follow. The center is the swooping roof, a long shallow curve falling and rising again between two square ends. Past it the tallest slab in the drawing rises, stepped back at the shoulder, with a low dome on a base beside it. A low block and a small pointed spire run right, and a steeple crowded with pinnacles closes the line.

Who buys it

Fargo sells on the name as much as the city, and a fair number of buyers have never been. It also sells properly to people who live there, and those two audiences want different things from it, which is a reason to keep both the mug and the small canvas in the range.

Mug or canvas

The swooping roof is one long continuous line, and a single long line reads at any size at all, which makes this among the safer mugs in the batch. Ink is 0.056 and the width 2.444 to 1, so ceramic takes it right round. Only the pinnacled steeple at the far end asks for more room, and 24 by 16 on canvas gives it.
