Three eras sit side by side in this one. Moscow moves from modern slabs through the Kremlin wall to the cathedral, and then back to glass at the right edge.

What is in the drawing

Two plain towers open on the left, tall and unadorned. A small tented turret follows. The Kremlin wall begins there, its merlons drawn as a run of notches, and the clock tower rises out of it under a tall spire. The wall continues low and long. Saint Basil's takes the centre, a cluster of onion domes at different heights around a tented spire. The business district closes the right, one tower curved and twisting, the others stepped.

Who buys it

The cathedral is one of the few buildings that identifies a country as well as a city, which widens who this reaches. Language students and anybody with family there account for much of it.

Mug or canvas

2.318 puts it past the band, so ceramic takes it by width. Coverage 0.133 sits in the middle. The domes are drawn as separate loops with gaps between them, and those gaps are what an 11oz loses first. A 15oz keeps them, and 24 by 16 canvas shows the notching along the wall.
