Shreveport is drawn almost entirely in flat tops. One tower breaks that with a crown that steps back three times on its way up, and because nothing else in the picture is doing anything similar, it carries the whole drawing.
What is in the drawing
A low block opens the left, with a broad building beside it under a shallow curved roof and a small crown at its middle. A slim slab split down its face follows, then a low rounded hall scored with a zigzag along its top. The center is the stepped tower, narrowing twice into a crown and finishing flat. A broad plain slab stands next to it, then a low block with a small peak, a tower with one rounded shoulder, and a flat block closes the right.
Who buys it
Shreveport sells to people from the city and to people who worked the river trade, and it is bought as a hometown marker rather than a travel souvenir. The stepped tower is the building everybody names.
