Las Vegas is a skyline of resorts rather than offices, and it reads as one. The drawing keeps the pod on its needle and lets the rest of the Strip block up behind it.
What is in the drawing
Angular towers open on the left and step up towards the observation tower, whose pod sits clear of everything around it on a long tapering stem. Behind it the resort towers crowd together, flat-topped and close, and the line runs down into a long low frontage scribbled with the detail of a casino front at street level. It rises once more through a pair of tall blocks and finishes on a wide rounded shape raised on legs at the far right, the only curve in a drawing otherwise made of straight edges.
Who buys it
Bought for the trip rather than the city. A weekend that got out of hand, a wedding nobody planned six months ahead, a first big win: the mug ends up on a desk as a private reference that colleagues never ask about.
Mug or canvas
The pod on its needle is the only thing that breaks the roofline here. Everything else is a flat-topped block, so the drawing reads as one long even run, and that evenness is what makes it work small: nothing important is lost where the wrap curves away. Go large and the scribbled frontages along the base separate out into individual buildings.
