Guayaquil puts four different building traditions in a row and lets them sit side by side: a lighthouse, an onion dome, a classical portico and a cathedral bristling with pinnacles.
What is in the drawing
Two tall slabs cut by deep slots open the left. A small tower with a domed cap stands next to them. Past it a low building carries an onion dome over an arcade, then a portico of evenly spaced columns under a flat pediment. The cathedral follows, two towers spiked with pinnacles above a tall arch. A slab with a flagpole rises beyond, and a long low roof drawn in small crenellations finishes the right.
Who buys it
This sells to people who moved north for work and send things home, so it is often bought as a pair. The waterfront buildings are what get recognised rather than the towers.
Mug or canvas
