Bogota splits down the middle. Plain modern slabs fill the left half, and the right half is churches: pointed caps, a central spire and a small onion dome, all at half their height.
What is in the drawing
Tall slabs open the left, several of them scribbled in at the base as though the street were too busy to draw. Their crowns step up and down without ornament. Past the middle the scale drops and the shapes change: small towers under pointed caps, a church with a tall central spire between them, and an onion dome sitting low on a squat block. Two more slabs rise at the far right and close the line.
Who buys it
This sells to people who left for Miami or Madrid and to their children, who often have not been. The churches are what the older buyers point at and the towers are what the younger ones recognise.
Mug or canvas
Scribbled bases muddy before anything else, and they hold a fair share of coverage 0.076. Shape 1.853, centred by ceramic so both halves of the city stay in view, which is the entire point. Strokes stay separate at 24 by 16.
