Tulsa is tall for its width and built almost entirely from plain rectangles. The two shapes that are not rectangles are doing all the work.

What is in the drawing

A low curved shell sits on the ground at the far left, drawn as one long arc with a small square at its base. Next to it a gothic tower carries a crown of square teeth and a short pointed finial above a front of narrow pointed arches. The middle is given over to slabs: a group of tall plain rectangles, the highest of them entirely unbroken, with a smaller box tucked against their feet. Toward the right one tower flares outward at the top into a wide trumpet shape, and another finishes in a soft scalloped crown. At the very end a star sits on a short stalk, drawn with six clean points and nothing around it.

Who buys it

Tulsa buyers tend to know exactly which building is which, and the deco tower is the one they check for. It goes to people who moved out to Dallas or Denver, and to oil-and-gas families as a retirement piece. The star at the end is the detail people mention when they write in about it.

Mug or canvas

At 1.805 to 1 it falls well short of the width a mug wraps, so the drawing sits centred with generous white on both sides and does not wrap. Coverage is 0.057, because the tall slabs are drawn as outlines with nothing inside them. Light and narrow is the profile that suits a small canvas: it holds a 3:2 frame properly and the star keeps its points at 18 by 12, where a denser drawing would need the next size up.
