Manila puts its towers in the middle and its history at the edges, so the line has an old building at each end and glass in between. The heights step rather than climb.
What is in the drawing
A pavilion with a curved tiered roof opens the left, low and wide. A slim monument rises beside it, tapering to a point. Then the towers: a slab with a mast, a tapered block, plain rectangles at four different heights, one stepped at the top. A church front follows, wide and scalloped into arches under a shallow dome. A low walled block comes next, and a bell tower with a small dome closes the right.
Who buys it
Filipino-American households are the whole audience here and it is a large one, concentrated in California, Nevada and Texas. This is bought as a home city, so the old buildings at the ends matter more than the towers do.
