Luxembourg City is built on a gorge and the drawing says so: a viaduct arches across the middle, and three round towers with crenellated tops stand on the far side of it.
What is in the drawing
An angular modern building opens the left with a mast alongside. A long hall follows, arcaded in tall arches. The viaduct spans the centre on one broad arch above a low bank. The three round towers stand past it, squat and battlemented along their tops. Gothic fronts with turrets and scalloped bases run right, and a tall column carrying a figure closes the line.
Who buys it
Banking and European institution postings account for most of this, and the buyers are usually here for a few years rather than for life. It is bought as a marker of that time.
